Abdulrahman Al-Kawakibi and His Maintaining Role of Arabic Renaissance

Abstract

The researcher previewed her research about Abdul-Rahman AL-Kawakibi and his efforts to develop the Arabian mind during the Renaissance with separating lines between reform leaders and pioneers of AL-Kawakibi contemporaries and the previous ones depending on their struggles, opinions, and views of the way of reforming. Then she precisely showed the most important stations of AL-Kawakibi life beginning with his birth and bringing up in Halab, ending with his death in Egypt. Between the two stations, the researcher stands on his press work and the jobs he was assigned for and what he suffered during jail period because of his opinions and thoughts of the way to develop his nation. Then she declared his opinions and thoughts which he speared in Egypt through his famous two books: Um AL-Qura and Taba'e' an AL-Estibdad in which she showed his reform view and presented the subject of the Arabian Caliphate and the Arabian State as a substitution for the Afghani project in the Islamic Institution. This brought him the anger of the Othmani Authority which, as said, poisoned him because of his opinions and thoughts.
